Visit Meriebl In MarchFirst things first, the primary reason to visit Meribel in March is the unrivalled skiing offered in the resort. Not only do you have the incredible Meribel runs such as Mottarett, Marmotte and Biche but you can also access Courchevel and Val Thorens with a Three Valley’s pass. Doing so gives you access to the biggest interconnected skiing area in the world with over 600km of intertwining slopes.

Why You Might Visit Meribel In March

The reason you would choose to come in March is quite simple. March in Meribel is not as busy as you avoid the school holidays, this also makes prices more reasonable. March also sees fantastic snows conditions with the additional bonus of more bluebird skies and fewer white outs.

The skiing caters for all levels with greens and blues such as Blanchot and Biche, famous reds such as Maudoit and the impressive Grande Rosiere for the advanced skier.

Away from the skiing, there is still plenty to do in Meribel. For those who like to party, why not rub shoulders with the stars at the La Folie Douce’s mind blowing apres events. Dancing, rappers, international DJs celebrities, paragliders and fireworks are all must see events. After Folie you can head down to Meribel centre to enjoy the live acts at bars such as Meribar, Jacks or O’Sullivans.

In terms of restaurants, Meribel offers a range of choices from the reassuringly expensive Four Star Le Zinc through to charming budget options such as the no nonsense good food offered in Les Cretes.

Another way to soak up the culture is to enjoy the open air sculptures dotted around the resort. Richard Orlinksi’s Animal collection brightens up the resort and makes for amazing photo opportunity from the top of the pistes.

As well as providing amazing skiing tuition, the ESF also offer trips such as snow shoe walking and the once in a life time heliskiing where you combine skiing with a breathtaking helicopter ride. The ESF also host once a week parties with fireworks and a torch light slope descent display.
If none of this sounds like your scene, there are plenty of other March events such as ‘Meet the Huskies’, Archery Experiences and Stand Up comedy from top UK comedians.
Meribel really is the place to be this March. It combines great weather, amazing skiing, culture and spectacular events all at reasonable cost.
Don’t take our word for it though, see the beauty of Meribel for yourself on the live webcams.
